Wedding Cakes

We would love to make your wedding cake! We will create the perfect design for your special day. We usually start the process by setting up a tasting & consultation. After that, we will figure out all the details to make the perfect cake.

Tastings and Consultations:
Tastings and consultations are done by appointment only. Please give us at least 2 weeks notice to schedule a cake tasting. Tastings are $40 per couple and $10 for extra people up to 4 persons. The tasting fee allows you to taste 4 cake flavors and mix and match any of the 5 buttercream flavors. The Consultations last about 45 minutes.
Whether you choose a wedding cake or wedding favors, Red Velvet Affairs will deliver and display your selections within a five mile radius area for free!
Cake Flavors:
All our wedding cakes are made from a pound cake. The flavors are almond, butter, lemon and red velvet. All cakes are iced with buttercream icing. The Icing color can be tinted in your choice of color to match your wedding theme.

Cake Base Price:
The base price is calculated by the estimated number of guests times the cost per serving. That is the price before any custom design, material fees, delivery fees or taxes.
Cake Cost per Serving:
Standard Buttercream Cakes: $3.50 per serving for round cakes.
Custom Design Fee:
The design fees are based on the complexity of design and planning, time to create decorations, piping details, hand-sculpting, supply cost and the number of decorations.
Material Fee:
A material fee may be added for any special items needed for the cake.

Deposits:
There is a 50% non-refundable deposit required in order to schedule your cake on your event date. Without the deposit, we will not hold your date. Priority will be given to the paying customer.

Final Payments:
All final payments are due 3 weeks prior to your event date.

Refunds:
No refunds are provided for any reason due to our attention to detail and the many hours spent planning and preparing even before beginning your cake.
Delivery and Set-Up:
Arrangements for delivery need to be made at the time of your order to ensure our availability. Delivery and set-up fees are based on mileage and amount of set-up.
